Bright New Day

The light shines in my eyes.
To what in this day lies.
I grab my coffee and go to the quiet outside
The trees surround me far and wide.
The winding road is off in the distance.
I am thankful for all existence.

Wandering mind.

Focus!
I cant seem to put thoughts together.
Mind wanders about irrelevant subjects.
Bring myself back.
Find a point of interest.
I her a million voices in my head.
Continuous pictures float above the surface.
Nothing seems to make sense.

Insomniac

I hear the clock ticking.
I twist I turn cant seem to get comfortable.
Why cant I just drift into a deep sleep.
Turn to the left.
Turn to the right.
I try to count sheep.
I feel like I have tried everything.
I restlessly get up to turn on the light.
It seems to be another sleepless night.

Summer Release

Sun beats on our skin.

We frolick through the streets,

feeling free to be.

Optimism

Run as fast as you can.

Jump as high as the castle in the sky.

Swim through out the seven seas.

Sing louder than a banshee.

Be all you can be.
